Might as well start somewhere

The very first quilting book that I ever got was called Marsha McCloskey's Quick Classic Quilts. I have made lots of quilts from this book, and my goal is to make all of the patterns. These two quilts for my kids (who I lovingly will call Thing 1 and Thing 2) are from that very book. The patten is the Le Moyne Star, and it was my first time doing set-in seams. Love it!! They turned out great and to make it even better (drumroll please) I was able to quilt them on my brand new HANDIQUILTER!!!

I have had this blog for well over three months now. I really wanted to create a blog with my sister Ema so that we could show pictures of the projects that we are doing and be able to share them with other people. I had such good intentions of what my first post would be. Maybe I would share about us and our sewing/quilting history. Maybe I would post past pictures and do a tutorial or something. But, time has gone on and I haven't posted ANYTHING. So I am going to start by posting some pictures of my last projects and we will go from there!!
